Lake County Red Hills

Our Lake County Cobb Mountain vineyard is a true mountain top vineyard, surrounded by big timber, Ponderosa Pine, Firs and Black Oaks. This vineyard is one of the highest vineyards in the county at 2900 to 3000 feet elevation. The loose, rocky, red hills volcanic soil is extremely well drained and when you combine this terroir with Lake Counties tremendous sun and Cobb Mountain’s cool evenings it gives us the opportunity to produce premium wine grapes.

We established the 95 acre ranch in 2000 and are currently growing 8 acres of Syrah, 2 acres of Grenache Noir and 4 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Syrah and Grenache are presently produced by Project 3000, Sol Rouge and Moore Family Winery. The Cabernet Sauvignon is solely produced by Fore Family Vineyards. Fore Family Vineyards has a goal of limiting production and continuing with our low yield program so that we can continue to produce a premium quality wine for you to enjoy.
